(N) discovering something by accident

Since 2011, Serendipity SAORI Studio has had the pleasure of introducing children and adults of all ages to the joys of free style weaving.

The Studio is located on a hill overlooking Skaneateles Lake. The views of the lake are stunning in all seasons. Instruction is offered in a safe, peaceful, and nurturing studio setting. Many students have commented a day at Serendipity SAORI Studio is as relaxing as a week’s vacation!

Serendipity SAORI Studio is located approximately 25 miles west of the City of Syracuse. For out-of-town students, the Studio is easily accessible to Hancock International Airport and The William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center (ground travel). Transportation to and from these transportation centers can be arranged in advance.

There are stairs and a hand rail at the Studio entrance. A handicapped accessible restroom is available,

We are a pet-friendly Studio. Please let us know if you have any allergies.

Shop / Gallery

The Studio hosts a small shop where you can purchase SAORI books, yarns, and equipment. SAORI clothing is also on display for inspiration.

Many small items for sale in the shop were created by weavers at various SAORI studios throughout Japan that provide employment for people with disabilities. The sale of these items provides their support. These small items are very popular for gifts and souvenirs.

What are the studio hours?

Studio hours are by appointment, Monday through Saturday, 10am to 4:30pm. Hours outside these times can be arranged in advance.
