"For you are the secret Treasure-bearer, and always have been. Didn't you know?" —Rumi

I'd love to have you over today for a spot of tea.

We could enjoy some quiet conversation.

I was unexpectedly away for almost all the month of December due to a family emergency. I never leave home without a knitting project in my bag. Knitting keeps me from going stark-raving mad while on the bus! How else can you sit for seven hours?

But that meant there wasn't much to do to keep me sane while I was away. I learned something very important: It is better to travel with more than less.

A new scarf, called The Sheep Crossing

From my own sheep, George and Timothy (because that's what he likes to eat).

Lovingly washed, lock by lock.

Carded with a hand flicker to remove any "vegetable matter" i.e. little bits, which told stories of the bushes they liked to nibble, or a favorite spot to graze.

Handspun and handwoven.
