"Some of us have great runways already built for us. If you have one, take off. But if you don't have one, realize it is your responsibility to grab a shovel and build one for yourself and for those who will follow after you." —Amelia Earhart

Day 5:  Runways are for taking off!

Thankfully Maddy had home ec in school.

She helped with the machine sewing so everything would be finished by the Fashion Show!

Getting ready to walk down the runway!

Aimee was too shy, so big sister Frida took the runway first in her new poncho.

Aimee in her new pullover top (a modification of a pattern in the new Intermediate book).

Ellie made the cocoon in the Fuku (Blue) book. It is a pattern I have wanted to try. Very easy…just two seams and no hems!

Mary decided she didn't want to cut her cloth, and I respected her decision. She wrapped herself in her cloth for the runway walk, but her banner will hang in her room as a reminder of our week together. She told me that weaving was better than riding camp! Wow…that's a pretty good compliment!

Maddy made a nice all purpose top—great with jeans and a tee, but will look just as good with a pair of dress pants, too!

Such a special week! Thank you, and hope to see you all next year!

Fleece,

Karen
